How to Install dracut software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

dracut software package provides A new initramfs infrastructure, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install dracut

dracut is installed in your system.

Make ensure the dracut package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dracut *

You will get with dracut package name, version, architecture and description in a table
