dput-ng software package provides next generation Debian package upload tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dput-ng
dput-ng is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dput-ng package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dput-ng *
You will get with dput-ng package name, version, architecture and description in a table
