How to Install docker.io software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

docker.io software package provides Linux container runtime, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install docker.io

docker.io is installed in your system.

Make ensure the docker.io package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep docker.io *

You will get with docker.io package name, version, architecture and description in a table
