How to Install dmsetup software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

dmsetup software package provides Linux Kernel Device Mapper userspace library, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install dmsetup

dmsetup is installed in your system.

Make ensure the dmsetup package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dmsetup *

You will get with dmsetup package name, version, architecture and description in a table
