How to Install divxenc software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

divxenc software package provides shell script to encode DVDs to FMP4/DivX, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install divxenc

divxenc is installed in your system.

Make ensure the divxenc package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep divxenc *

You will get with divxenc package name, version, architecture and description in a table
