dh-buildinfo software package provides Debhelper addon to track package versions used to build a package, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dh-buildinfo
dh-buildinfo is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dh-buildinfo package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dh-buildinfo *
You will get with dh-buildinfo package name, version, architecture and description in a table
