deborphan software package provides program that can find unused packages, e.g. libraries, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install deborphan
deborphan is installed in your system.
Make ensure the deborphan package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep deborphan *
You will get with deborphan package name, version, architecture and description in a table
