dcap-dev software package provides Client Development Files for dCache, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dcap-dev
dcap-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dcap-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dcap-dev *
You will get with dcap-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
