daemontools software package provides a collection of tools for managing UNIX services, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install daemontools
daemontools is installed in your system.
Make ensure the daemontools package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep daemontools *
You will get with daemontools package name, version, architecture and description in a table
