cyrus-dev software package provides Cyrus mail system - developer files (metapackage), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cyrus-dev
cyrus-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cyrus-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cyrus-dev *
You will get with cyrus-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
