config-package-dev software package provides Debhelper (and CDBS) modules for building configuration packages, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install config-package-dev
config-package-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the config-package-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep config-package-dev *
You will get with config-package-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
