cifer software package provides multipurpose classical cryptanalysis and code-breaking tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cifer
cifer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cifer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cifer *
You will get with cifer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
