byobu software package provides powerful, text based window manager and shell multiplexer, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install byobu
byobu is installed in your system.
Make ensure the byobu package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep byobu *
You will get with byobu package name, version, architecture and description in a table
