audacity-dbg software package provides fast, cross-platform audio editor (debug), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install audacity-dbg
audacity-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the audacity-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep audacity-dbg *
You will get with audacity-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
