libchm-dev software package provides library for dealing with Microsoft CHM files (development), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libchm-dev
libchm-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libchm-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libchm-dev *
You will get with libchm-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
