How to uninstall or remove libcgns2 software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libcgns2 package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libcgns2 

Uninstall libcgns2 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libcgns2 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libcgns2 
Use Purging libcgns2

If you use with purge options to libcgns2 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libcgns2 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libcgns2
