How to uninstall or remove libc6 software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libc6 package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libc6 

Uninstall libc6 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libc6 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libc6 
Use Purging libc6

If you use with purge options to libc6 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libc6 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libc6
