How to uninstall or remove libc-icap-mod-squidclamav software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libc-icap-mod-squidclamav package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libc-icap-mod-squidclamav 

Uninstall libc-icap-mod-squidclamav including dependent package

If you would like to remove libc-icap-mod-squidclamav and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libc-icap-mod-squidclamav 
Use Purging libc-icap-mod-squidclamav

If you use with purge options to libc-icap-mod-squidclamav package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libc-icap-mod-squidclamav 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libc-icap-mod-squidclamav
