How to uninstall or remove libbitmask1 software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libbitmask1 package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libbitmask1 

Uninstall libbitmask1 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libbitmask1 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libbitmask1 
Use Purging libbitmask1

If you use with purge options to libbitmask1 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libbitmask1 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libbitmask1
