libberkeleydb-perl software package provides use Berkeley DB 4 databases from Perl, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libberkeleydb-perl
libberkeleydb-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libberkeleydb-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libberkeleydb-perl *
You will get with libberkeleydb-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
