libbeid2-dbg software package provides library to read identity information from the Belgian eID card (debug), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install libbeid2-dbg 

libbeid2-dbg is installed in your system.

Make ensure the libbeid2-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libbeid2-dbg *

You will get with libbeid2-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
