libavc1394-0 software package provides control IEEE 1394 audio/video devices, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libavc1394-0
libavc1394-0 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libavc1394-0 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libavc1394-0 *
You will get with libavc1394-0 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
