libavahi-client3 software package provides Avahi client library, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libavahi-client3
libavahi-client3 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libavahi-client3 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libavahi-client3 *
You will get with libavahi-client3 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
