How to uninstall or remove libasio-dev software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libasio-dev package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libasio-dev 

Uninstall libasio-dev including dependent package

If you would like to remove libasio-dev and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libasio-dev 
Use Purging libasio-dev

If you use with purge options to libasio-dev package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libasio-dev 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libasio-dev
