libapache2-mod-evasive software package provides evasive module to minimize HTTP DoS or brute force attacks, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libapache2-mod-evasive
libapache2-mod-evasive is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libapache2-mod-evasive package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libapache2-mod-evasive *
You will get with libapache2-mod-evasive package name, version, architecture and description in a table
