How to uninstall or remove libafsrpc1 software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed libafsrpc1 package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove libafsrpc1

Uninstall libafsrpc1 including dependent package

If you would like to remove libafsrpc1 and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove libafsrpc1

Use Purging libafsrpc1

If you use with purge options to libafsrpc1 package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge libafsrpc1

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove libafsrpc1
