latex-cjk-chinese software package provides Chinese module of LaTeX CJK, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install latex-cjk-chinese
latex-cjk-chinese is installed in your system.
Make ensure the latex-cjk-chinese package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep latex-cjk-chinese *
You will get with latex-cjk-chinese package name, version, architecture and description in a table
