last-align software package provides genome-scale comparison of biological sequences, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install last-align
last-align is installed in your system.
Make ensure the last-align package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep last-align *
You will get with last-align package name, version, architecture and description in a table
