How to Install kpartx software package in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

kpartx software package provides create device mappings for partitions, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install kpartx

kpartx is installed in your system.

Make ensure the kpartx package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kpartx *

You will get with kpartx package name, version, architecture and description in a table
