How to uninstall or remove kio-gopher software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed kio-gopher package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove kio-gopher 

Uninstall kio-gopher including dependent package

If you would like to remove kio-gopher and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove kio-gopher 
Use Purging kio-gopher

If you use with purge options to kio-gopher package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge kio-gopher 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove kio-gopher
