How to uninstall or remove kcm-touchpad software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed kcm-touchpad package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove kcm-touchpad 

Uninstall kcm-touchpad including dependent package

If you would like to remove kcm-touchpad and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove kcm-touchpad 
Use Purging kcm-touchpad

If you use with purge options to kcm-touchpad package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge kcm-touchpad 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove kcm-touchpad
