jpeginfo software package provides Prints information and tests integrity of JPEG/JFIF files, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jpeginfo
jpeginfo is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jpeginfo package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jpeginfo *
You will get with jpeginfo package name, version, architecture and description in a table
