jmeter-http software package provides Load testing and performance measurement application, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jmeter-http
jmeter-http is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jmeter-http package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jmeter-http *
You will get with jmeter-http package name, version, architecture and description in a table
