jenkins-tomcat software package provides Jenkins CI on Tomcat 6, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jenkins-tomcat
jenkins-tomcat is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jenkins-tomcat package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jenkins-tomcat *
You will get with jenkins-tomcat package name, version, architecture and description in a table
