How to Install jenkins software package in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

jenkins software package provides Continuous Integration and Job Scheduling Server, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install jenkins

jenkins is installed in your system.

Make ensure the jenkins package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jenkins *

You will get with jenkins package name, version, architecture and description in a table
