ibsim-utils software package provides InfiniBand fabric simulator utilities, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install ibsim-utils
ibsim-utils is installed in your system.
Make ensure the ibsim-utils package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ibsim-utils *
You will get with ibsim-utils package name, version, architecture and description in a table
