hp-search-mac software package provides Search for a MAC address on HP switches, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hp-search-mac
hp-search-mac is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hp-search-mac package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hp-search-mac *
You will get with hp-search-mac package name, version, architecture and description in a table
