How to uninstall or remove hotswap-text software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed hotswap-text package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove hotswap-text

Uninstall hotswap-text including dependent package

If you would like to remove hotswap-text and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove hotswap-text

Use Purging hotswap-text

If you use with purge options to hotswap-text package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge hotswap-text

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove hotswap-text
