honeyd software package provides Small daemon that creates virtual hosts simulating their services and behaviour, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install honeyd
honeyd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the honeyd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep honeyd *
You will get with honeyd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
