How to uninstall or remove heimdal-multidev software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed heimdal-multidev package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove heimdal-multidev 

Uninstall heimdal-multidev including dependent package

If you would like to remove heimdal-multidev and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove heimdal-multidev 
Use Purging heimdal-multidev

If you use with purge options to heimdal-multidev package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge heimdal-multidev 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove heimdal-multidev
