hamster-indicator software package provides Hamster Appindicator, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install hamster-indicator
hamster-indicator is installed in your system.
Make ensure the hamster-indicator package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep hamster-indicator *
You will get with hamster-indicator package name, version, architecture and description in a table
