How to uninstall or remove hal software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed hal package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove hal 

Uninstall hal including dependent package

If you would like to remove hal and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove hal 
Use Purging hal

If you use with purge options to hal package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge hal 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove hal
