guestfish software package provides guest disk image management system - file system shell, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install guestfish
guestfish is installed in your system.
Make ensure the guestfish package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep guestfish *
You will get with guestfish package name, version, architecture and description in a table
