gpointing-device-settings software package provides configuration tool for pointing devices, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gpointing-device-settings
gpointing-device-settings is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gpointing-device-settings package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gpointing-device-settings *
You will get with gpointing-device-settings package name, version, architecture and description in a table
