How to uninstall or remove gnumeric software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed gnumeric package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove gnumeric 

Uninstall gnumeric including dependent package

If you would like to remove gnumeric and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove gnumeric 
Use Purging gnumeric

If you use with purge options to gnumeric package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge gnumeric 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove gnumeric
