gnu-smalltalk-common software package provides GNU Smalltalk class library sources and extras, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnu-smalltalk-common
gnu-smalltalk-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnu-smalltalk-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnu-smalltalk-common *
You will get with gnu-smalltalk-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
