How to uninstall or remove gnome-dvb-client software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed gnome-dvb-client package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove gnome-dvb-client

Uninstall gnome-dvb-client including dependent package

If you would like to remove gnome-dvb-client and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove gnome-dvb-client

Use Purging gnome-dvb-client

If you use with purge options to gnome-dvb-client package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge gnome-dvb-client

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove gnome-dvb-client
