How to uninstall or remove git-man software package from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

You can uninstall or removes an installed git-man package itself from Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) through the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get remove git-man 

Uninstall git-man including dependent package

If you would like to remove git-man and it's dependent packages which are no longer needed from Ubuntu,

$ sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove git-man 
Use Purging git-man

If you use with purge options to git-man package all the configuration and dependent packages will be removed.

$ sudo apt-get purge git-man 

If you use purge options along with auto remove, will be removed everything regarding the package, It's really useful when you want to reinstall again.

$ sudo apt-get purge --auto-remove git-man
