gimp-resynthesizer software package provides Gimp plugin for texture synthesis, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gimp-resynthesizer
gimp-resynthesizer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gimp-resynthesizer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gimp-resynthesizer *
You will get with gimp-resynthesizer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
