How to Install gfmd software package in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

gfmd software package provides Gfarm file system metadata server, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install gfmd

gfmd is installed in your system.

Make ensure the gfmd package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gfmd *

You will get with gfmd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
